The property is a 3 bedroom flat set within a 4-storey 1980s dairy conversion. The original layout features a long characterless hallway that jutted into the main living area making the space less useable than it needs to be.
Simple repositioning of doors immediately opens up the flat to create a more spacious living area that is focussed around the roof terrace. Old plastered walls were stripped to expose the underlying brickwork that not only added texture to the otherwise featureless hallway but also made it wider. The subtle Apple Green wash of Farrow & Ball along the central wall accentuates the daylit corridor, drawing one’s attention into the living area where a large sliding door opens up the kitchen into the main space. Full height integrated storage is neatly tucked on one side, detailed to disappear into the wall as it hides the TV, boiler and the various household necessities.
